Drama is a part of any community, especially virtual ones. After running a channel for more than 12 years on Undernet, I thought I had seen it all.
In New York there was a huge drama about abuse involving some ex and a promoter. And we cannot forget one of the riggers who made a huge scene when he came to Montreal. Some people do it for attention, others for trouble.
In Boston there was plenty, but most was related to events. Toronto had its share too, more related to players.
In the rigger circle it was about one of the icons making a mistake. Anyone can make a mistake — even after 20 years of practice. Why make such a drama out of it? Sometimes things just do not go as planned.
Montreal is a very small community — fewer than 2,000 people — segmented into multiple circles. Drama is the lifeblood of some people. For some I think it is like television, and some are well known as drama queens.
My point: I do not care about common drama. I watch TV too, but do not include me in your drama — especially drama that is personal and does not concern me. I will get involved to help a friend, like anyone would.
