At the last Montreal Nuit Blanche we did a rope exhibition at the Katacombe — 20 artists, riggers, and bottoms, from 7 PM to 3 AM.
It was a very cool night. Starting around 10 PM, there was already a lineup with more than a 15-minute wait to get in. Amazing energy. The people involved made it work — from Eby Quainty from Quebec City and Prom, that event would not have been the same without them.
We had 1,622 visitors — more than any single year’s attendance at any fetish weekend.
Over the past month I put some time into a monitoring script. It monitors news websites around the world — now close to 200 sites across 15 countries — searching for keywords related to our domain, like fetish, BDSM, maso, and so on.
Finding lots of bad press and bad news, but good to share so people can know about it and not replicate the mistakes others have made.
