An amazing first day.
I got a nice hotel right in the heart of downtown. I walked around and discovered that the neighbourhood is also the arts district — fashion stores, great company head offices, and art galleries on every corner.
First event: the pansexual party at the San Francisco Citadel. Helping as a DM allowed me to meet new people and share knowledge about the laws and practices in their dungeon.
First difference I noticed: they close at 1 AM, sex is allowed but condoms are legally required, and also recommended for oral sex. Weapons can be used as recreational tools — good luck explaining that one, even with a knife.
I met a few friends, including PsychoKitty, whom I had met a few years back at Shibaricon.
So far: great community, great party, great people.

Day 2
Another nice day. For the locals, last night was the coldest night ever in the region. For me it was just a cool summer night.
The day began with a walk in Golden Gate Park with plans to attend a whip practice event. Only a few people showed up, but I learned new things about whipmakers and their whip community.
The day ended with a nice dinner with a new friend at a French restaurant — learned a few things about many European topics.

A good walk in the port and a visit to the aquarium.

Day 4
The day began with a tour of the gay village with a tour guide — but it was more than that. We learned about the architecture and history of that part of the city, which was also a major part of gay rights history. I took time to go sex-toy shopping and picked up a few new items. I ended the day with dinner with Jay Wiseman and asked him to sign his book for me. A great exchange on many topics.

Day 5
Break time. After a few days of touring I decided to relax — just mailed some postcards and slept a lot. I had a social dinner and then a play party. The Wicked was great, the food was amazing. The Cat Club was a blast. I did lots of suspensions with new people, met my contact for Kink.com, and fell a little for a girl — great chemistry, so gorgeous and sensual. Very rare that I fall for a girl with short hair.
First day without pictures, but lots of great memories.
