After reading this incident — http://news.bmezine.com/2008/08/31/an-open-letter-to-the-suspension-community/ — I believe it is time to spread the word about safety and equipment.
Use rated, tested gear, and overkill if you have to. Incidents will happen; I have had some, like anyone, but with care we can avoid accidents.
