Money in kink

Want to make money from kink? Here are some ideas and things to think about.

Owner — owning a place is a great way to make money by renting it for events. Renting for various reasons is great, but you need to be careful. On the private side, if you make too much noise, someone can make a police complaint, and since it is not commercial it will be easy to shut down. If it is commercial, make sure your paperwork and taxes are in order. You will also need a small investment for furniture and some play stations.

Promoter or event organizer — this is also a big part of the kinky scene. You need strong people skills, some management ability, and money set aside to bankroll the operation. You need to be able to express your vision and monetize it.

Educator — this is also not for everyone. Knowledge and passion are one thing; being able to entertain and share skills is another. But if you are good at it, teaching is normally a low-cost job.

Performer — depending on your skills, you can make money doing shows and sideshows. I did bondage shows for birthdays and bachelorette parties. Many events seek the wow factor, and kinky shows deliver that easily. If you go pro, keep in mind expenses, insurance, travel fees, replacing equipment, etc.

Porn or digital content creator — this is now a well-known trend since COVID. So many people have turned to OnlyFans (OF) and similar sites. But kink is a small niche compared to vanilla porn. Build your brand, make it unique, and don’t just make content to sell — make some free content that sites like PornHub compensate for through advertising revenue, etc.

SW, ProDom, ProSub — this is a domain I know less about, maybe riskier, but potentially more money there.
